What’s Next After The Zack Synder’s JL

By this next year, we should already have had the Justice League movie on HBO max, we’ve all been awaiting.  But after it’s release, what’s the next course of action for the DCEU. There have been a lot of rumors of circulating about a possible Ben Affleck return but it has yet to be confirmed. Henry Cavill's “Man of Steel 2” movie seems to have dissipated into thin air. 

Personally, I believe Warner Bros,  should just continue with  their initial slate of possible movie releases which I believe they’re doing right now. Before the mini flop that was Justice League, there were plans to release the following sets of movies which include:

• Man of Steel(Grossed more than 600 million dollars)

• Batman Vs Superman(grossed more than 800million dollars)

• Suicide Squad(though I’m not sure whether it’s part of the DCEU but grossed more than 700 million dollars)

• Justice league(grossed more than 600 million)

• Wonder Woman(grossed more than 800 million)

• Aquaman(grossed more than 1 billion)

• Shazam(grossed more than 300 million)

• Joker(grossed more than 1 billion but not a part of the DCEU)

• Birds of Prey(the lowest earner but still grossed over 200 million)

• Flash

• Cyborg

• Green Lantern Corps

We were even going to have a Ben Affleck Batman movie that feature Deathstroke as the main villain and antagonist, which would have been amazing and astounding to watch and I’m hoping they still make and release it. 

From the gross earnings of the first seven films, we can also deduce that they weren’t flops except for Justice league (because of it’s very high budget) therefore there shouldn’t have been a pause in the DCEU. I believe the immense success of Aquaman showed that the fans still so much believe in the DCEU and want it to thrive. 

In conclusion, Warner Bros should continue with their slate of films and make a JL sequel perhaps in 2023 or so.

FunFact: The “Joker” movie is the most profitable comic book movie of all time.
