Overcoming The Silent killer known as Depression

Depression is one of the most ancient killers of man and one of the main causes of death in our society today. What is depression? Depression is defined as a state of feeling sad: It can also be defined as
a serious medical condition in which a person feels very sad, hopeless, and unimportant and often is unableto live in a normal way.
Unlike many other medical conditions with pronounced symptoms and signs, depression is a silent killer that isolates it's victims and eats him/her bit by bit to the extent of suicide and murder. From to my own personal encounter with people, books read, and online studying I believe that most and if not everyone has suffered from bits of depression while probably 30-60percent of the human population might be suffering from severe depression. I have also been a victim and Victor of depression. Since we have some knowledge of the harmful effects of depression we should endeavor to take the necessary steps to overcome it and avoid being destroyed by it and they are as follows:
1) Become A Born again Christian: This is the most important step to take in order to completely overcome depression. When a person becomes a born again Christian, the Holy Spirit begins to reside in that person and becomes the person's guide, comforter and personal companion. You can't totally overcome depression without the help of the Holy Spirit. That's the simple and pure truth.
2) Never allow depression isolate you: During your bouts of depression never allow it to isolate you. Always inform your  family and friends(the ones you trust) of your ongoing condition.  Endeavor to go for social outings, church programs, summer retreat etc i.e Partake in activities that will refresh your mind.
3) Confide in your closest friends and family members about the condition: discuss the presence of the medical condition(depression) in your life with your closest and most trusted associates,  friends and family members. Get their personal opinions and experience on the issue. Allow them to help you.
4) Take Solace in the fact that others are suffering from depression: this might seem like a selfish and unloving mindset to possess but it's the honest truth. Take comfort and solace in the fact that most people suffer from depression and you are not it's only victim. It isn't peculiar to you. The world isn't against you and just as there are victims of depression, there are also victors and conquerors of the dreaded disease.
5) Go For Counseling: Get professional guidance and counselling. There are people trained in the art of overcoming depression e.g psychologists. Engage their services if you can afford it.
N.B: My advice to my readers from Africa, Latin America and Asia where engaging professional help for depression might be inaccessible and very costly, is to take the first four steps seriously so as overcome and triumph over depression.
I'm sure that with these few steps any victim of depression is guaranteed a success over depression. Also I will like to inform victims of depression that sometimes Victory might not be instantaneous but progressive and slow but the most important thing is that victory is sure.

Please if you are not a born again Christian and you want to be, repeat these words with 👄 mouth and believe them in your ♥ heart: Dear Jehovah God,  I repent from my sins today.  I believe that you sent Jesus Christ to die for my sins and he arose on the third day as the son of God and is seated in heaven at the right hand of God. Holy Spirit I give you control of my life. Amen.
Pls you are now a born again Christian and start attending a Bible believing church.
